The food was decent. My kids didn't care for the chicken tenders, but my catfish po'boy was good. The fries were good. The interactions with the waitress at first made us feel unwelcome. She was friendly to the patrons she knew and cold to us. She warmed up over time, which is why I have service 3 stars. Fox News was playing on the television, making the atmosphere less than pleasant.

I stumbled on this place by total accident while detouring a bit for gas, and I’m so glad I did. The building caught my eye—it had that rustic, mountain-town charm that makes you want to stop and see what’s inside. After filling up, I went in and found this neat little store combined with a restaurant. It felt like an old-school mountain outpost—full of character, with all kinds of interesting things for sale and warm, kind folks running the place. The whole experience was unexpected and memorable

Really nice folks, our waitress was very attentive and the food was brought out quickly but not all meals at once. For the most part the food was good. The catfish however was tougher than a bad steak. Never had tough catfish before so that was a new experience.

It has a restaurant that I've never been into to eat. I have heard good things about the restaurant. Me personally I always just went into the convenient store part of it. Usually just to grab something there that's quick n go. Maybe 1 day I'll give the restaurant a try for myself as well.

I ate here with my husband for the first time today. He has been here before and really loves the catfish. I will agree with him, the catfish was really good! He also had slaw, hushpuppies, and fries, and they were also pretty good. I ordered a BBQ pork potato. The prices seem to be set very reasonably, so I really don't wanna complain, but I would like to suggest adding a little more meat to the potatoes. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very spacious and appeared clean. There are lots of beautiful paintings hanging on the walls, but the atmosphere is kinda bland. Regardless, we will definitely be going back!

On the recommendation of the staff at Dead Zero Shooting Park, after a long day shooting, we ate dinner at Cagle Mountain Restaurant. It really hit the spot. We had the fried pickles appetizer, a cheese burger w/fries and the fried bologna sandwich and fries. The staff were super friendly, and the food was great and very affordable! We will be back!

We were just driving through to make a farm purchase on the mountain and happened upon this little place. We had been starving and decided to pop in here and check it out. SO GLAD WE DID. Food was really good, and the DESSERT was superb! We ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, with a baked potato, grilled cheese with fries and green beans, and the “slim Jim” sandwich. For dessert we had “the best thing on earth” cake and the banana pudding. That cake alone is worth the trip up the mountain. The environment is clean and simple and there are a handful of small games for a kid. All in all this place was a great little find and I will be stopping back in anytime I am in the area!
